About
A boutique advisory firm built for founders who value senior attention and independence.
Intuition Consulting is an independent M&A advisory and business valuation firm. Our U.S. practice operates from Houston, Texas, serving privately-held companies and their owners across the country in transactions typically ranging from $5 million to $150 million in enterprise value.
We were built on a simple observation: middle-market founders deserve the same institutional-quality advice that larger companies receive from bulge-bracket banks — delivered by senior professionals who stay engaged from first meeting to closing, without hand-offs, without conflicts, and without pressure to close a bad deal.
Every mandate is led personally by a partner. Every model, every CIM, every valuation memo is reviewed and signed by the same person who first sat across the table from you. That accountability is not a marketing line — it is how the firm is structured.
Our transatlantic footprint, with an established European partner practice, gives us direct access to strategic buyers and financial investors on both sides of the Atlantic — an advantage that domestic-only advisors cannot replicate.
Our approach
Four principles that shape how we work.
Accountability
The partner who meets you on day one is the partner who signs the final deliverable. No hand-offs.
Independence
We have no lending arm, no fund to deploy, and no captive products. Our only client is the one sitting across the table.
Rigor
Every model, every valuation, and every CIM is built to withstand scrutiny from sophisticated buyers, auditors, and courts.
Transatlantic pragmatism
We combine U.S. transaction discipline with cross-border experience, helping clients navigate differences in legal, tax, and cultural expectations.
Tiago Marques founded Intuition Consulting to bring institutional-quality M&A and valuation advice to business owners who do not have access to a full investment-banking team. He has spent more than fifteen years working across corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and independent valuation, advising founders, family groups, and investors on both sides of the Atlantic.
His work covers the full transaction cycle: sell-side and buy-side advisory, valuation opinions, due diligence support, capital structure analysis, and post-transaction integration planning. He has particular depth in industrials, energy services, healthcare services, technology-enabled services, and business services — the sectors where most middle-market transactions originate.
Before founding Intuition, Tiago held senior roles in corporate finance and M&A advisory, building a network that spans strategic acquirers, private equity funds, family offices, and independent sponsors in Europe and the United States. He holds a degree in Management and has completed advanced executive education in corporate finance and M&A.
He leads every client engagement personally, ensuring that the advice delivered reflects the same judgment that built the firm.
